Roller table motors

Roller table motors are motors specially developed for use in roller conveyor systems. They are designed to drive the rollers of the roller conveyor and thus enable material transport. These motors are characterized by their compact design and high reliability and play an important role in material flow technology and logistics.


Roller table motors are usually designed based on their special requirements for material flow technology. They often have a high power density in order to efficiently drive the roller conveyors. They are also robust and resistant to the stresses of daily operation. They are often also equipped with special protection devices to protect them from dust, dirt and moisture. Some roller table motors also offer the option of variable speed control to adapt the material flow to different requirements.

Our range of services

VEM roller table motors from the classic ARB 22 - 65 series have proven their functionality and reliability over several decades under sometimes extreme environmental conditions.
Based on this experience, VEM has several variants of roller table motors that are adapted to the conditions of modern drive technology in frequency converter operation developed. The windings of these motors are specifically designed for converter use. In contrast to the classic roller table design with a soft torque characteristic and long blocking times, roller table motors for converter use have a hard torque characteristic, which is typical for double squirrel cage rotors. This means that group drives achieve good synchronization under changing loads. This is a prerequisite for good rolling quality.
