Giant tube below Munich The people of Munich will be celebrating a well-earned three days of city fair after the new tunnel opens; we delivered the fire gas motors for the project.
What the tunnel will look like
The Luise-Kiesselbach-Platz tunnel is Munich’s largest construction site. Car drivers in that part of town will be diving down into the new tunnel, which is slated to open on 27 July 2015. Additional safety will come in the shape of 98 fire gas motors that we at VEM supplied to Howden Ventilatoren GmbH, Heidenheim; the motors will be driving the tunnel’s ventilation system. The on-site acceptance protocols have already been signed.
The citizens of Munich will be celebrating the end of the construction works and upcoming tunnel opening for three days starting on 23 July.
