A project to install a new SCC has come to a successful conclusion with acceptance testing for VEM transresch. The clean-water pump 7 upgrade at Tiefwerder water works plays a part in ensuring an unrestricted supply of drinking water.

"Sonne" research vessel sets off with VEM motors on board

The upcoming test run for the new research vessel is scheduled for late autumn, and our engineers at VEM Sachsenwerk GmbH are not about to miss the opportunity to take part. The aim is to verify calculations and machine designs, with VEM drives from our locations at Wernigerode and Zwickau also on board the vessel.

IE3 from the New Year – and an alternative
|
|
| |
|
Only IE3 motors will be allowed on the market in the 7.5 kW to 375 kW output range from 2015 onwards. |
The new and second stage of EU Motor Regulation 640/2009 towards raising minimum efficiency to efficiency class IE3 – Premium Efficiency – will apply to this output range from 1 January next year. VEM already has an alternative ready for the market.

Customers can now order motors with junction boxes in this special design from VEM motors Thurm. The junction box’s compact dimensions will accommodate cables up to M20 entry size.
