Asynchronous generators
Asynchronous generators are important components in energy production that convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. These generators, also known as induction generators, are particularly valued for their robustness and reliability and have a wide range of applications in industry and in the field of renewable energies.
Features
Asynchronous generators are characterized by their simple construction and low maintenance requirements. They consist of a rotor and a stator, whereby the rotor is usually designed as a squirrel cage rotor. These generators can be operated without additional synchronization devices, making them easier to handle and integrate into existing systems. They are available in different power and voltage ranges, which increases their flexibility and adaptability to different requirements. The thermal resistance and high efficiency make them a reliable choice for numerous applications.
Applications
Asynchronous generators are used in a variety of applications. In the wind power industry, they are used to convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy. They are also often used in smaller hydroelectric power plants. They are also used in industry to recover braking energy in electric drives. In remote or off-grid areas, they combine with diesel engines to provide a reliable power supply. Their versatility and robustness make them a preferred choice for a wide range of energy generation projects.
Our range of services
The asynchronous generator represents a reliable, cost-effective, easy-to-maintain alternative to the classic synchronous generator for the use of renewable energy sources such as wind and hydropower, even in small and medium-power systems. Depending on the application, asynchronous generators are operated on their own network or in parallel with an existing network . The previous G21R/G22R series are now supplemented by the GE1R/GE2R series, whose design is based on the IE2 series of asynchronous motors.
