Compact drives

VEMoDRIVE Compact - motor and converter as a compact unit

Compact drives are characterised by high energy and resource efficiency, as well as outstanding flexibility. They offer numerous benefits compared to a solution with built-on converter:

  • Converter is mounted on the motor ⇒ no separate mounting space for the converter
  • High vibration strength and high degree of protection as standard ⇒ long service life
  • No output filter required
  • Only unshielded power cables required
  • Minimised costs for mounting, installation and commissioning

VEMoDRIVE Compact is available with the same options as a classic drive system with a separate motor and frequency converter. Options for the frequency converter include above all external control units and communication interfaces (e.g. bus interfaces), as well as input-output and control modules. For the motor, the common options are alternative types of construction, higher degrees of protection, forced ventilation and the integration of brakes and encoders. Brake activation and evaluation of the encoder signals by the converter can be enabled upon request.

VEMoDRIVE Compact with motors of efficiency class IE2*

  • ME1R, ME2R, self-ventilated
  • ME1F, ME2F, forced ventilation

VEMoDRIVE Compact with motors of efficiency class IE3*

  • M41R, M42R self-ventilated
  • M41F, M42F forced ventilation

*Motors meet IE2 or IE3 requirements in mains-fed operation
