RAILLive 2021 - despite Corona a successful event
From 30th November to 1st December 2021 the international trade fair for traction applications RAILLive took place in Madrid. This time VEM was also present with a booth and used the opportunities to expand business relations. At the same time, existing contacts were deepened, especially with our partners in Spain. Intensive discussions were also held with a potential sales partner.
Discussions with our existing business partners revealed a number of prospects for projects in 2022-2024, which now need to be successfully implemented. 'The market for traction drives will continue to develop positively in the coming years' was the unanimous basic tenor of our customers. In addition, customer structures have recently changed completely, creating different competitive situations. For VEM, this means that our customers in particular, such as Alstom Bombardier and Stadler, are intensifying competition by means of in-house production. We are therefore stepping up our activities with leading Spanish vehicle manufacturers. They also have a global presence and we see significant volumes especially for streetcar motors and generators for locomotives. Therefore, the presence of VEM was a right step for further expansion in this market.
All in all, the fair was a successful event despite Corona.
