| Keulahütte GmbH |
Keulahütte GmbH was established in 1440 as the Keula forge hammer, and is consequently one of the oldest foundries in Germany. During the 560 years of its existence, the company has always responded to the needs of the market with its product range. During the mid-19th century, the fame of Keulahütte spread further afield, mainly as a result of industrialisation in Berlin.
Highlights from its early history include the Fuchsia Bridge cast in 1826 for the Pückler Park in Bad Muskau, and a 25 tonne flywheel which was exhibited at the Paris World Fair in 1889. After the Second World War, the company evolved into a modern, competitive manufacturer of iron castings and fittings. |
