The 13th VEM Group Technical Day in Wernigerode, Germany, saw 264 attendees from 17 countries come for a series of high-profile presentations from specialists in drive solutions as well as a lively exchange of news and views on the latest development trends at electric drive manufacturers.
This year saw a high-profile series of events on From Efficiency to Systems – Through Systems to Efficiency. Head design engineer and development manager at VEM Zwickau Sylvia Blankenhagen cut to the chase on an issue touched upon by many of the other presentations in her topic, Energy saving – whatever the cost? The discussion looked for answers, alternatives and possible solutions. The theme and date have been settled for the 14th Technical Day next year, which will be taking place on 15–16 September 2015 in the Harzer Kultur- & Kongresshotel in Wernigerode; the new theme will be: Balancing laws and regulations in electric drive systems.
