VEM GROUP sales reorganisation
VEM to focus on “ELECTRIC DRIVES”
October 2014 saw VEM add the “ELECTRIC DRIVES” suffix to the VEM brand name that had been known all over the world for more than 70 years. This addition to the name was intended to emphasise the company’s capability in electric drive engineering and efficient system solutions for any type of industrial application.
VEM will be focussing more on providing bespoke solutions to specification from the motor itself to system solutions to automation for demanding drive requirements. The VEM ELECTRIC DRIVES name aims to increase market awareness of this across the world.
For the most part, our sales staff will be responsible for conveying this message to the world; the sales department has been reorganised within the VEM Group. Dr. Torsten Kuntze is responsible for the entire sales effort with the assistance of a four-person management team with Roland Zänger for drive engineering in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Ulrich T. Beholz for drive engineering on the international market; Ralf Hanauer for high-voltage drive engineering; and Michael Kleiböhmer for drive systems.
