VEM worldwide service network expansion
New contracts signed with partners in Norway and the USA

Last year saw Karsten Moholt in Norway and VEM sign an official service contract. The known specialists in electromechanical machinery, motors and generators had already maintained a long-standing cooperation with VEM. The agreement covers a wide range of projects currently focused on a railway converter commissioning and revision project commissioned by Norwegian railway operator JBV for VEM.

Karsten Moholt moved into its new company headquarters in Kleppestø at the gates of Bergen two years ago.

US-based Houma Armature Works has been a contract partner since the end of last year. Headquartered in Houma, Louisiana, the company specialises in motor and generator maintenance and repair; the company location on the Gulf of Mexico and its proximity to the SCHOTTEL workshop benefit the joint agreement between Houma Armature Works and SCHOTTEL on combi-drive marine drive maintenance.

VEM will continue on acquiring service partners, and is currently focusing on an American steel mill that VEM already supplies with low and high-voltage motors while also aiming at partnerships in Brazil to work on combi-drives and in Poland for traction motors.
